All our team members are experienced hillwalkers and have extensive knowledge of the areas they work in. Our training approach is relaxed, fun and educational, and our instructors are here to make sure you get the most out of your skills course or guided walk. You will be greeted with a smile and leave with unforgettable memories.

This was an absolutely superb experience, yet again first-class service and guides on the scrambling weekend. Despite having a fear of heights, I thought to challenge myself on Crib Goch, as it wouldn’t have been a route I’d have taken alone otherwise. Tom and Jo are superstars, Snowdonia is the Eden of Wales, and the views were spectacular. Mountain Walks has again exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be thankful enough for what they provide. The two-day scrambling weekend was without a doubt the best activity weekend of my life. As a fairly experienced hill walker I’d always assumed those big craggy rock faces were way beyond my limit but with some expert guidance and friendly encouragement I achieved more than I expected to be able to – I’ll be coming back to tackle some more scrambles and I can’t wait to give Tryfan North Ridge another go as soon as I can!

As a regular mountain walker I found I was always sticking to the routes I knew, as venturing off into the unknown felt too risky. The course gave me much more than I expected; not only did I pick up invaluable map reading skills, but I found other skills such as how to scramble safely and how to work effectively in a group. The mountain guide was more than helpful, and has given me the confidence to take groups of my own friends out into Snowdonia and other national parks, and seek new routes.

Mountain Walks provided a first-class experience of the Newlands Valley. There was no set pace. The group leaders were quick to work out the level of everyone and made sure no-one felt left behind or frustrated at a slower pace. Everyone enjoyed the whole experience.
